WIN member Elaine Garley began Animal Bridges to use her intuitive talents as a communicator and a healer to help animals and their pet parents have a healthy relationship and a happy life together. We are so pleased to have gotten to know Elaine and her business through her long-time, active, WIN membership.
Here is Elaine to share her experience with her work, and with WIN:
- Why did you choose to join WIN?
About 7 years ago, I went to a WIN meeting. At the time, I realized I wasn’t ready for WIN because I couldn’t explain what I did when I introduced myself.
In 2014, I worked with a WIN member and decided it was time to come back.
At my first meeting, I knew immediately WIN was for me. I met several people who were excited about my work. I remember talking with Connie Kroskin and realizing I had put my stuff next to her chair as we sat for lunch. The next month, I walked up to a group of women and asked if I could sit with them. Connie turned around and said, “Elaine, there is one seat here!” Yes, WIN was the group for me!
Since then, the women of WIN helped me with my business needs and Connie Kroskin became my marketing guru and friend. So many others became friends in addition to colleagues.
I feel the support and concern from the members. Competition does not exist at WIN! The women don’t push their businesses on you, which creates a comfortable, nurturing group and environment. The result is I feel like I’m coming home when I go to a WIN event and go back to my office pumped up!
- Describe your business and what you love most about what you do.
As the heart of Animal Bridges, I help you “bring out the best in your pet.” I talk with your pets to understand their needs and give you a transcript of the communication. I also provide the clients (people) techniques to help everyone. I’m known for helping the shy, fearful, aging pets. I want to help each pet parent with her concerns.
As an energy worker using Healing Touch for Animals®, I help the animals physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I help pet parents as they make tough decisions about their pets and give support along the way. I also keep the connection alive after a pet has crossed The Rainbow Bridge and help the pet parent with the grief process. I love improving the pet/human relationships and improving everyone’s lives.
Since animal communication and Healing Touch for Animals® is energy work, I work with people worldwide. I’ve helped clients in Brazil, South Africa, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Australia, and across the United States without leaving my office.
- Do you have new developments, projects or successes you would like to share with us?
Animal Bridges is expanding this year from “bringing out the best in your pet” to include the people, too. For several years, I’ve worked with pet parent clients energetically using Healing Touch for Animal® and Healing Touch techniques. I work from a distance so they are comfortable in their homes. Watch for my rebranding to include people in my business. I’d love to talk to you about how I can help you too!
- Do you have any “secrets to success” or tips that you’ve picked up along the way?
My clients are my best referral partners. I’ve learned it is so important to follow up and stay in touch. My clients are the heartbeat of my business.
- What is something interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?
I retired from whitewater kayaking and motorcycles – yes, I drove a small bike. I love traveling. In November, I visited a WIN friend, Kim Julen, who followed her dream to Maui! This year I’m excited to visit Alaska and see its beauty and wildlife!
- What has given you the greatest satisfaction over the past year?
My clients sending me thank you notes and emails. These always warm my heart.
- What would you most like to tell the other women in WIN?
Thank you for being there for me at WIN, for your support, and wisdom. I’ve met (and will meet) amazing women and have wonderful friendships that all started at WIN. You bring sunshine to my life.
- Do you have any networking tips that have worked well for you?
Everyone needs to hear WIN Director Teresa Thomas talk about networking or take her class. I love Teresa’s networking tips. Some favorites are turning your body when talking to someone to invite another person to come over. Also, go talk to the person who is standing alone! Both of you will be happier.
